About My Clients
I work with children, tweens, and teens facing anxiety, trauma, big emotions, or the everyday struggles of growing up, many of them neurodivergent. As a Certified AutPlay Therapy Provider, I use play, not just talking, to meet each child where they are: toys, sand trays, art, or imaginative play. I approach clients with genuine acceptance, not an agenda to change who they are. My hope is that every child and teen leaves feeling safer, understood, and more like themselves.
My Background and Approach
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and play therapist based in Fort Worth. For the past five years I've worked with children, tweens, and teens ages 4+, many of them autistic, ADHD, or neurodivergent. I earned my counseling degree from the University of North Texas and trained through the Center for Play Therapy. I'm a Certified AutPlay Therapy Provider, working toward my Registered Play Therapist credential. My approach draws on Child Centered Play Therapy, AutPlay, and expressive arts, plus trauma informed methods like TF-CBT and ACT. I believe play lets children process what words can't always hold, so sessions often look like building, imagining, or being understood, not fixed. Before private practice, I worked in nonprofit settings supporting families affected by medical trauma and childhood adversity. My goal is the same with every client: help them feel safe, capable, and known.
