About My Clients
Does it ever feel like life is just happening to you? Do you struggle to see where your anxiety ends and you begin? If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself, you're not alone! It's brutal out here. Therapy can be a space to slow down, get curious, and begin to untangle the patterns that are keeping you in survival mode.
My Background and Approach
The research doesn't lie: the therapeutic relationship is the #1 indicator of therapeutic outcomes. My style as a counselor reflects that, so I do my best to help you feel comfortable with opening up before we dive in. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to counseling interventions. That being said, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and also tend to incorporate aspects of IFS, mindfulness, self-compassion, and CBT into my work with you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I know what it means to feel outside the norm. As a queer therapist, I hold space for those who’ve been made to feel different, unseen, or unwelcome. I believe that this is vital in the current political climate.
