Helping children, teens & young adults overcome anxiety and ADHD challenges through compassionate, client-centered therapy that works.

Clinical Social Worker in Ann Arbor, MI

About My Clients

I primarily work with children, adolescents, and young adults facing challenges with anxiety and ADHD. My clients include kids who feel overwhelmed by worry, teens struggling with focus and organization, and young adults seeking better ways to manage stress. I also support parents looking to strengthen their parenting skills and better understand their child's needs. Many come to me feeling stuck or overwhelmed but are ready to explore change in a supportive environment.

My Background and Approach

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master's in Social Work from Michigan State University, where I received comprehensive training in evidence-based practices. My diverse professional experience includes working with young children (ages 2-5) with autism in ABA settings, supporting adjudicated youth, serving underserved populations, and providing care in domestic violence shelters. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as my foundation, integrating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and fear hierarchies as needed. My approach is warm, welcoming, and collaborative—I believe in meeting clients where they are and aligning treatment with their personal goals. I'm particularly skilled at making therapy engaging and even fun, especially when working with younger clients. I focus on breaking down challenges into achievable steps, building momentum and confidence as we progress together.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My practice is grounded in the values of kindness, respect, and compassion. Having worked with people from all demographics and backgrounds, I approach each client with genuine curiosity and openness. I believe that everyone deserves a space where they feel heard, understood, and valued without judgment. I'm passionate about helping young people overcome the barriers that anxiety and ADHD can create in their lives. My extensive experience with anxiety-related conditions has taught me that real change happens when we combine evidence-based techniques with a trusting therapeutic relationship. I never push clients beyond their comfort zone without their consent, instead encouraging gentle progress while regularly checking in to ensure the pace feels right. This balance of support and challenge helps clients build confidence in their ability to face life's difficulties and achieve their personal goals.
