About My Clients

My clients are people who are ready to move on from anxiety for good. They are tired of being held back from their own lives. They want to get past the past, and stop worrying about the future. Instead of bandaid solutions to overcoming anxiety, I work with client to get to the root of it. Sometimes anxiety comes from old trauma or memories... Sometimes it’s impossible to understand where it’s coming from. Either way, I work with clients to find personalized solutions and build confidence.

My Background and Approach

It may sound strange, but I get excited when I get to work with a client who has been struggling with anxiety for far too long. Why? Because I know I can help. I have watched countless clients overcome anxiety for good. Sometimes anxiety comes from trauma, and sometimes it appears out of thin air. From coping skills, to deep work that gets to the root of anxiety, my therapy is highly personalized to each client. I do not believe one size fits all when it comes to therapy. Between talk therapy and EMDR, we will find solutions to overcome anxiety and trauma. I graduated with my masters degree from Pepperdine University with an emphasis in working with Latinx populations. Not only did this prepare me well for providing services in Spanish, but it also taught me the value of unique cultural backgrounds. As a white, cis-female therapist I recognize I hold certain privileges. I am not blind to this in therapy. Acknowledging this from the beginning is the start of good therapy!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

We are all trying our best. We are all responding to the challenges that life has brought us. We are all human. Some of us got a head start in life, and some of us did not. My office is a judgment free zone. You can expect to feel safe and cared for regardless of what stories you bring. I believe in being human. I believe in humor. And I believe in sharing about my own experiences when I believe it will be helpful to you. In my experience, I’ve found that my clients feel more accepted and less ashamed when I can offer personal stories. This is unpopular in therapy - but I find it to be a great way to connect. Don’t expect a silently nodding therapist - that’s not me! If I could have one lasting impact doing this work, it would be to leave the world better than I found it. Sounds cliche, I know. It’s a true honor to walk alongside my clients in their journeys of healing and finding power. Offering my expertise, banishing judgment, and connecting as humans are my ultimate goals.
