About My Clients
Teens and young adults are going through one of the most difficult life transition periods they may experience throughout their lifetime. I work greatly with issues related to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, relationships and more. I invite education into the process to ease confusion and allow processing to feel more supported. Individuals are desiring to be heard and understood and that is something I strive to bring into the therapeutic journey.
My Background and Approach
I graduated from Western Seminary with a Masters in Counseling and have completed 3000+ hours of 1-on-1 counseling. I am a Person Centered therapist and approach each client individually based on their own unique background and personality. While I love working with teens, young adults, and adult individuals I also use a variety of approaches to best support what the client specifically needs. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion Focused, Narrative, Behavioral Therapy and more. Understanding the client to fullest is a deep concern especially when providing tools and further support to aid the clients growth. I often work with families as well as individuals especially when supporting a teen client that could also benefit from communication/relationship development with other family members. Therapy can be scary, yet hopefully I can provide a unique experience that feels inviting, safe, and comfortable to create the change you deserve.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a Christian and welcome individuals of all faith backgrounds and spiritual journeys. While I am not a trained biblical counselor, if desired by the client I can add a faith aspect to counseling.
