About My Clients
I work with clients of all ages from adolescents to later adulthood. I enjoy working with people undergoing major life transitions of all kinds or folks who have experienced trauma. My specialties are emerging adulthood and helping my clients find their identity and achieve their potential as well as folks in the perinatal period. That means anyone in the midst of adoption, trying to conceive, pregnancy, and postpartum or post-adoption!
My Background and Approach
I utilize Accelerated Resolution Therapy for trauma and many types of other problems my clients are facing. I am a Master Accelerated Resolution Therapist. ART uses eye movements to change the way memories are stored in our brain, allowing us to separate from the negative sensations we feel when we recall our traumas. Results are often fast, usually between one to five sessions per trauma or problem. I also use all sorts of other modalities based on what my clients need. A listening ear? Absolutely. A mindfulness based CBT curriculum? You've got it. A little bit of this and a little bit of that? Yes! I have been in the mental health field long enough to know that there is never a one size fits all approach and I am confident in being able to tailor my treatment to fit each client's needs.
