About My Clients
On the outside, you are successful, capable, even strong—but inside, there’s a swirl of worry, self-doubt, pain and hurt. You might keep pushing through, telling yourself it’s fine, yet part of you knows it’s not. I see the strength it takes to hold it all together, and therapy is where you don’t have to do that anymore. In therapy, we slow down, uncover what’s underneath, and resolve it—so you can feel lighter, freer, and more at peace with yourself.”
My Background and Approach
I am a Resident in Counseling and EMDR-trained therapist with 2.5 years of practice and hundreds of hours helping clients heal from trauma. My work with PTSD spans childhood abuse, grief and loss, sexual assault, domestic violence, and workplace or first responder experiences. I also support clients through anxiety and relationship challenges. My clients describe me as warm, curious, humorous, and insightful. You will leave our sessions with a clearer understanding of why these problems took root, the relief of addressing painful experiences, and practical tools to manage the present with more confidence. I use EMDR therapy because it is transformational, helping you heal the past, strengthen the present, and reclaim freedom and choice for your future. Healing takes courage, patience, and strength, and my goal is to support you every step while moving at a pace that feels right for you!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everybody has a story, and I want to learn that story as your therapist. That is why I approach each client with warmth, curiosity, and compassion. My practice is guided by values I call the five T’s: truth, tension, transparency, transformation, and time. Truth means creating space for honest self-exploration. Tension acknowledges that healing often involves navigating uncomfortable emotions and beliefs while finding ways to integrate painful experiences. Transparency is about making the therapeutic process clear and understandable so you feel fully informed and supported. Transformation speaks to the depth of change possible in therapy, creating life-changing shifts in how you see yourself and your future. Time reminds us that healing is not linear, but with patience you can step into a fuller sense of yourself and create relationships that feel more secure and nourishing.
