About My Clients
I have experience working with a variety of people from different backgrounds who have faced anxiety, depression, trauma, major life transitions, and other mental health struggles in their life. I am also passionate about having an affirming and informed practice for LGBTQIA+ identities of all ages in addition to working with couples (heterosexual, same-sex, and queer couples).
My Background and Approach
Therapy is an opportunity to take the much-needed time to reflect and become more familiar with what it is we want out of life in an incredibly demanding world, where we are often left with very little time for ourselves and our relationships. I primarily adhere to a Narrative Therapy framework with strengths-based approaches to work collaboratively with you to identify your values and goals, in addition to offering a compassionate space for you to discuss any historical or recent difficulties that have been causing distress or discontent. It is my hope that we can collaborate to make our time together something that is both thought-provoking and restorative.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am committed the practice of therapy with my life's work being grounded in social justice. My past experience includes rape crisis counseling, domestic violence advocacy, advocacy for houseless women, mobile crisis intervention for youth, and outpatient therapy. I truly believe you are the expert in your experience and feel privileged to be accompanying you at your current place in life. I look forward to speaking with you and hearing about how we can work together to accomplish your goals.
