About My Clients
I love working with teens (17 yrs+)/college students/adults from diverse backgrounds and have been doing so for over 25 years. One thing I've learned is we've all been there. Maybe not to the same degree or about the same issue but we all know what it's like to feel overwhelmed and want things to change. The struggle is is figuring out how to make that change happen. If you are ready to begin that journey then know I am ready to work with you, to help you to define and achieve your goals.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW) in CT and a former school social worker/administrator. I provide individual therapy and use therapeutic approaches including but not limited to CBT, exposure therapy, strengths based, motivational interviewing and solution focused. At present, I am providing services through TELEHEALTH ONLY!!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that faulty and/or destructive thoughts and beliefs are often what impact our ability to be successful in bringing about change. In other words, sometimes, we get in our own way! My expertise lies not only in helping you to identify and take the steps necessary to make this change, but with compassion, a nonjudgmental attitude, warm sense of humor and collaborative approach, I help to create hope that over time, it can!
