About My Clients
I work virtually with children (ages 10 & older), teens and young adults. When working with minor children from divorced or separated families, I require both parents to give consent for my treatment of their child. I also meet with a parent(s) in advance to learn more about their family situation, the child’s struggles and their goals, as this helps me determine if I am a good fit to help.
My Background and Approach
My personal experience as a child of divorce was the impetus for me becoming a mental health provider. I learned firsthand how important it is to work through feelings and learn skills for coping with them and overcoming problems in order to grow and strengthen family relationships. After pursuing a graduate degree in counseling and working in a variety of clinical settings including schools, family counseling agencies, and grief counseling centers, I gained a fuller understanding of how therapy can accelerate the healing process and lead to deeper personal growth. This has allowed me to create a very nurturing, safe space for children and teens in navigating their own mental health journeys. I love helping these young people to thrive.
