About My Clients
Maybe you overthink everything, get stuck in loops, second-guess yourself, or feel like your brain won’t let something go. You might be dealing with anxiety, OCD, depression, relationship concerns, or questions about identity and where you fit. I especially enjoy working with LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent adults, including people figuring those things out later in life, as well as creatives and performers. You don’t need to have the right words for what’s going on before you come to therapy.
My Background and Approach
My approach is collaborative, curious, and tailored to what you’re dealing with rather than built around a single way of doing therapy. I pay attention to the patterns that keep you stuck, but also to relationships, identity, and the messages you’ve picked up about who you’re supposed to be. My work draws from relational and feminist approaches, along with evidence-based treatment for OCD and anxiety. My style is warm and direct, with room for humor and for us to be real humans. I want you to be able to say the weird, uncomfortable, or embarrassing thing out loud without worrying that I’m going to be shocked by it. I’m completing my MA in Mental Health Counseling at Yeshiva University and see clients under the supervision of a licensed mental health counselor. My background also includes many years as a writer and creative professional and work as a comedian and performer, which informs my particular interest in working with creatives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe there are many ways to build a meaningful life, relationship, family, and identity, and that therapy shouldn’t steer people toward one “right” version. I’m LGBTQ+ and neurodiversity affirming, sex-positive, and supportive of consensual nonmonogamy and other relationship structures. I also believe humor and creativity belong in serious spaces. I’m a writer, comedian, and performer, and I’m particularly interested in the intersection of mental health, identity, and creative life. Outside the therapy room, I’m a longtime vegan, gamer, and horror-movie-obsessor.
