About My Clients
You have tried everything you know to do and you still feel stuck. You’re used to getting things done, to making things happen. At work. In the family. With friends. And you feel good about helping others and what you’ve been able to accomplish, but as much as you’ve tried to help yourself, the pain persists, the behaviors keep repeating, the thoughts won’t stop.
My Background and Approach
My integrative approach is informed by mindfulness-based practices, systems thinking, cognitive-behavioral therapy, Internal Family Systems, attachment styles, and equality of all humans. I offer Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), which can work quickly to resolve trauma, and can also be used to help anxiety and other troubling experiences. I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for Couples, which helps to understand attachment styles and patterns in relationships to create more satisfying relationships. My work with couples is also informed by the Gottman method.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
From the time I was young, I knew I cared. I cared about people and wanted to help others experience more fulfilling lives and relationships. I didn’t realize at the time that I wanted those experiences for myself as well. My experience growing up in a family where addiction caused great pain led me to my own problematic relationships with people, food, money and religion. Now I care about myself in ways that I never imagined possible before taking those first scary steps into my therapist’s office and asking for help. I experience life and relationships in more rewarding ways than was previously possible for me.
