I welcome all parts of you! When you work with me, you have the opportunity to create new relationships with yourself, others and the world around you. If you are dealing with pain after trauma, betrayal, loss, addictions or other adverse life experiences, I can help you. I understand problematic relationships with food, sex, money and religion and will work with you to create more satisfying relationships with these behaviors.
My Background and Approach
My integrative approach is informed by mindfulness-based practices, systems thinking, attachment theory, cognitive-behavioral therapy, Internal Family Systems theory, a feminist ideology, and equality of all humans. I have been trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), both of which can be used to treat trauma, anxiety, depression, and other adverse experiences. I have also been trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for Couples, which uses attachment theory to understand relationships and to help them heal. I have been a Certified Sexual Addiction Counselor (CSAT) since 2012, treating compulsive sexual behavior disorder (or sexual addiction) and specialize in treating betrayal trauma experienced by partners of the chronically unfaithful/sex and love addicts/porn addicts.
