My Background and Approach
Prior to opening my private practice, I obtained my Master of Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. My approach is warm, empathic, collaborative, and pragmatic. I listen carefully to clients’ concerns, respond thoughtfully with curiosity and intention, and offer a nonjudgmental space that encourages clients to bring their full selves to therapy. Clients are able to gain new insight and learn new ways of relating that are freer of the characteristics that previously brought distress. Through our work together in this deliberate process of introspection and reflection, you may discover how early experiences and your external world have shaped you, find resolutions to core conflicts and issues, and begin to think creatively about how to make choices that align with the life that you envision for yourself.
