About My Clients
I love working with seekers, BIPOC, and folx that have experienced childhood abuse and other oppressions and have a desire to live a life that is not determined by what happened to them, or what others dictate their lives need to be. They are looking for a therapist that goes beyond just working on changing their thoughts or focusing on positivity, and are ready to reconnect with their bodies, their intuition, and ancestral wisdom to live a joyful, peaceful, and purposeful life.
My Background and Approach
I help creatives, seekers, healers, and changemakers heal from childhood traumas, CPTSD, and other collective and ancestral traumas; from a mind, body, spirit, and ancestral lens. Folks that have felt different or as if something is wrong about them for not following the status quo. Those that like to see other perspectives. Those that have a sense that there is something greater for them. Those that have been shamed and have internalized the feeling of not being good enough, or that there is something wrong with them. Folks that want a space that feels safe and brave enough to explore themselves, align with their calling, and heal.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a Boricua woman that comes from a complex history of colonization (still happening on the Island), ancestors that were slaved, genocide, patriarchy and religion impact on the abuse and mistreatment of women (and anyone that was not cisgender man), and the continued oppression and systemic racism I've experienced, I take in consideration these and many more factors into consideration when exploring what is happening to my clients and what they can do about it. I am also aware that I hold many privileges as a cisgender woman with lighter skin, higher education, and middle-class income. I look for ways to engage in social and racial justice causes, including educating myself and my kiddos about it. If and when I make a rupture to my clients, I look for ways to repair the damage, seek consultation and more education about the situation at hand. I like to offer a brave and safe enough space for discussion.
