About My Clients
I enjoy helping people grow, overcome adversity, and move forward. My clients typically are looking to learn strategies to deal with everyday anxiety, unravel past trauma, and find themselves again. I help clients learn to relax so that they can find a deep stillness within themselves allowing greater freedom to explore their goals.
My Background and Approach
As a former school counselor for 23 years, I utilize several tools. My primary approach is Person Centered where I aim to join you on your mental health journey. From there, I utilize Cognitive Behavior Therapy with some Hypnotherapy to teach clients ways to manage unwanted/intrusive thoughts and reframe current situations. Clients deserve to find peace and clarity, my aim for each session is to be sure we learn a new skill or strategy each time we meet. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I truly believe that each individual has the tools within themselves to find peace and clarity. Its important to me that all clients feel heard and valued by their therapist. I am passionate about mental health and the power of talk therapy. Outside of work, I compete with my dogs in obedience, rally, dock diving, and show in breed. That gives me a unique understanding of anxiety, imagine having to compete and get your dog to behave at the same time! I enjoy counseling online as I know it provides more flexibility in terms of scheduling while allowing clients to be in the comfort of their own space.
