About My Clients
You don't need to have bad things happen to you in order to benefit from therapy. My clients range from working professionals dealing with normal everyday stressors to people dealing with depression, anxiety and trauma. Therapy is a forum to hear yourself speak and gain insight into what is working and what isn't. It's unique and tailored to every person, as we are all different.
My Background and Approach
Graduated from Florida International University with a Masters in Counseling Psychology in 2008. I use a Person Centered Approach along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to address clients individual needs. I have worked in multiple treatment settings ranging from adolescent substance abuse to elderly populations and recognize the importance of tailoring approaches to the person sitting in front of me. Therapy is a collaboration between the therapist and the client; you are the expert of your life and experiences and only you know what feels right for you. I hold certifications as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and Master's Level Certified Addiction Professional. Please note that emails are answered within 24 hours.
