About My Clients
I work with adults and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, relationships, identity, life transitions, and belonging. I especially enjoy supporting young adults through college and early adulthood. I also work with people navigating different cultures or balancing their identity, including immigrants, international students, and people from multicultural families. You do not need to have a clear diagnosis or know exactly what you want to work on. We can begin wherever you are.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) in Maryland. I earned my B.A. in Psychology from McGill University and my M.Ed. in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt University. My approach is integrative, relational, and culturally responsive. I draw from person-centered, narrative, and existential therapies, adapting to each client’s needs. I see therapy as a collaborative process. Rather than trying to “fix” you, I hope to understand your experience alongside you, offer reflection, and help you notice patterns or possibilities that may be difficult to see on your own. Having grown up across places and cultures, I’m attentive to how culture, family, relationships, and belonging shape our experiences. I’m influenced by Taoist principles of moving with life’s rhythms and finding strength in softness. I see healing as a process rather than a straight line, with room for uncertainty, growth, and rest. I provide counseling in English and Mandarin Chinese.
