My Background and Approach
With the rise of AI-assisted therapy and people using chat bots for support, psychotherapy has become increasingly robotic and focused mainly on skills-building. I believe the human-to-human aspect of counseling is the most valuable part of the experience. I believe therapy should be experiential and help you with learning about yourself and the world around you. While skill-building is important, therapy should be a place for a human to sit with you, guide you, and help you realize your full potential. I primarily serve teenagers, college students, and adults (12+). My primary focus is on treating anxiety through a combination of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and exposure work to help clients "lean into" their anxiety and grow their tolerance for distress. Whether your anxiety is caused by trauma or life stress, I am here to help!
