About My Clients
Are you a burned-out caregiver who needs help navigating their child through trauma healing? Do you worry that your teenager is struggling with suicidal thoughts? I am here to help! I primarily serve children and teens (10+) as well as adults. I am TF-CBT Certified for trauma and CAMS trained for suicidality which means I can help with the difficult challenges that put you, as a parent, on the ropes. My Background and Approach
My approach is based in the belief that part of the way to reduce your anxiety, depression, or caregiver burnout is by building a rich, meaningful life. Difficult thoughts and feelings sometimes pull us off the path we want to walk in life. My approach helps clarify your values and identify committed actions that move you toward the things that are important to you. We look at ways to unhook from thoughts and learn to accept our emotions so we can move forward with a life worth living! I also believe in a trauma-informed approach that honors client's stories of pain and working towards healing collaboratively. As our mission statement says, I work to inspire hope and healing for all those who walk through my door. You are a human being with value, dignity, and worth! My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I offer counseling services to anyone who needs them from a non-sectarian, secular perspective. But my life is wholly informed by my faith which teaches me that all human beings are born with inherent value, dignity, and worth. I believe the world is a broken place, but through partnership we can build a world that is full of justice, righteousness, and peace. I believe strongly in compassionate service that sits with pain and does not run away from it. I am an active volunteer with my church and love to serve local non-profits on the weekends in my community. I serve as a volunteer member on Oklahoma City's Citizens Committee for Community Development where we highlight needs for affordable housing in our community.
