About My Clients
Do you feel like you are barely holding on, gasping for air? Like there's an ache in your chest pointing you towards something? Maybe you aren't quite feeling like yourself lately and want to make sense of your experiences, or you are trying to accept your past. I want to help understand what your experience is from your own view. I believe that you are the expert of your own life, but that can be a terrifyingly new realization. I offer you a counseling relationship where we can work through it.
My Background and Approach
I value people from all walks of life and am equipped to meet people in a variety of experiences. I use nondirective, person-centered practices to create this enabling environment for you to grow. Through warmth, acceptance, and empathetic communication, I can offer you a space where you will really be listened to. Where you will feel the difference.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am LGBTQ+ and BIPOC affirming/inclusive. I see people of any religious/spiritual beliefs. I aim to continually understand my own white biases and perspectives. From my graduate program, I trained in inclusive and feminist approaches to society. I acknowledge biases as they come up in the space.
