About My Clients
If you are struggling with mental health challenges, particularly surrounding worries, sadness, inattention, sleep disturbances, lack of energy, and/or panic attacks, I would love to help you understand where these issues may stem from and assist you on your road to recovery. Recovery is entirely possible, for anyone, especially for those that do not believe they are able to be helped. If you are having issues with addiction, I would be more than happy to aid you in your recovery journey.
My Background and Approach
My primary approach is psychodynamic psychotherapy. I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Parts Theory, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SBFT). I have a background in treating co-occurring mental health and substance abuse challenges. I am a former licensed peer recovery counselor, with years of experience serving individuals in a community-based setting.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the capacity to grow and change, regardless of past experience. I am very passionate about equality and equity, and allowing all people to make their own decisions regarding themselves. I support anyone's right to make their own choices in life and do not believe anyone's voice should be silenced.
