About My Clients
I have a wide range of experience working extensively with the queer and trans community along with those who experience mood disorders, trauma, poor self-esteem, anxiety and ADHD
My Background and Approach
As a queer trans man, I know how important it can be to find a therapist who understands some of your experience, even when we aren’t focusing on specific issues relating to gender or sexuality. I believe in queering therapy and draw from person-centered, trauma informed, social justice frameworks and at times incorporate art therapy, DBT, and ACT among other modalities. My approach is to meet you where you are at in their journey through a collaborative process and create a create a nonjudgmental, safe place for your own growth and acceptance. I’ll hold the hope for you when you can’t. You will be met with presence, compassion, and authenticity from me. Over time, I’ve learned that being my authentic self in session and allowing humor into the room allows my clinical skills to shine and allows for a stronger connection— which is the foundation of therapy. One of the hardest parts is making initial contact with a therapist. To put you at ease, I offer both phone and text consults.
