About My Clients

You’ve spent your life keeping it together—being the strong one, the good one, the one who didn’t make a fuss. Maybe you’re now realizing how much of yourself you had to hide to survive. My clients are often navigating religious trauma, power wounds, emotional burnout, or feeling “too much.” Whether you’re unlearning people-pleasing, reconnecting with your faith, or just trying to feel again—I’ll meet you there, with truth and care.

My Background and Approach

I didn’t become a therapist to hand out worksheets or fix people—I became one because I’ve lived what my clients are carrying. I’ve sat in the client seat, unlearned perfectionism, and rebuilt my relationship to power and vulnerability from the inside out. I offer therapy rooted in integrity and lived experience. You won’t get performance or pretense here. I specialize in supporting clients' healing from trauma, navigating Muslim identity, recovering from fractured family systems, and finding their voice in relationships where they’ve had to stay silent. My approach blends trauma-informed relational work, internal family systems, and shame resilience, with a strong emphasis on spiritual and cultural nuance. Sessions are honest, emotionally spacious, and collaborative. I’ll never ask you to do something I wouldn’t do myself—and you’ll never have to earn your right to be here.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy should feel like a conversation, not a performance. I don’t believe in masking emotions just to look put together—or in asking clients to be vulnerable while I stay distant. I believe in naming power, honoring faith, and healing through honesty. I’ve lived through the silence of emotional secrecy and the weight of religious trauma, and I know what it’s like to feel both too much and not enough. I believe people deserve therapy that reflects their reality, not one that asks them to filter it. I also believe in the sacredness of play, the messiness of grief, and the beauty of slowly becoming who you were always meant to be. Therapy with me isn’t about impressing someone with insight. It’s about feeling safe enough to show up as your full self, and being met with care, not critique. This work isn’t easy, but you don’t have to do it alone. I’m here for all of it—with you, not above you.
