My Background and Approach
In my approach, silence is replaced with engagement, active listening, and thoughtful reflections. I don't just sit in my chair; I am present, asking questions, and providing interpretations that foster understanding. Together, we delve into identifying limiting beliefs, working collaboratively to reframe habitual thought patterns. Occasionally, I may gently challenge thoughts that may be causing harm, always acknowledging that you are the expert of your own life. Getting to know you on a personal level is crucial to tailoring support where you need it most.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I truly believe that everyone has the ability to change and grow at any point in their lives. I don't think there's a limit to what we can achieve. In my view, many mental health issues stem from learned behaviors that aren't healthy, but the good news is, we can unlearn them and adopt better ones. I personally struggled with severe anxiety and undiagnosed ADHD as a child, but through therapy, I learned how to thrive. With the correct diagnosis and therapist, I learned how to manage my symptoms. Everyone, regardless of background, age, ethnicity, gender identity, spiritual beliefs, or sexual orientation, is wholeheartedly welcomed in my practice.
