About My Clients
We can be in a room full of people and still feel alone. Whether you are a young adult trying to find your footing, a college student feeling overwhelmed, a couple who cannot seem to stop hurting each other, or an exhausted parent struggling to connect with your child who has big feelings or a mind that works differently— you do not need to figure it out alone. I would love to help you find your way back to each other and to yourself.
My Background and Approach
My academic and career path has given me the opportunity to work across diverse settings and populations. I hold an M.S. in Counseling with an emphasis in Higher Education and an M.A. in Clinical Psychology, along with specialized training in California AB 1172 Behavior Intervention. I have worked with college students navigating identity and life transitions, adults and families touched by cancer, and children with developmental and social challenges using a family-centered approach. I also work with adults and couples in alternative relationship structures, including ethically nonmonogamous partnerships, kink, and sex-positive relationships. I am a LGBTQIA2S+ ally. My approach is collaborative and personalized — not one-size-fits-all. I believe in getting to know you, understanding what you are carrying, and working together to find a path that fits your life. My goal is to help you feel more like yourself: grounded, connected, and equipped for whatever comes next
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Listening and hearing are two different things in therapy. To hear is to receive the facts, your thoughts, your beliefs, and what you say out loud. To listen is to understand the emotions, the impact, and what you are truly experiencing beneath the surface. I learned this through both personal and professional experience, and I carry it with me into every session and every relationship. Sometimes the most powerful therapy is simply knowing that the person in front of you heard you and listened to what lies beneath what you said. Whether you are a Veteran navigating the transition to civilian life, a parent stretched thin trying to meet your child's needs, or an adolescent searching for your identity, my aim is for you to feel genuinely seen and understood. I am actively learning about different cultures, backgrounds, and experiences so that I can show up for each client with openness, compassion, and curiosity.
