Lucy Sternburgh (she/her)

I have over 15 years of experience working in the field of holistic health and well-being. I have an undergraduate and doctoral degree in wellness, as well as multiple certifications in mindfulness, yoga, and, health and wellness coaching. My approach emphasizes a balance between mind, body, and spirit, as well as the development of presence, self-compassion, and purpose.

I am a certified teacher of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction trained by the Center for Mindfulness as UMass (developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn) and a fully certified teacher of Mindful Self-Compassion trained by the Center for Mindfulness at UCSD (developed by Kristin Neff and Christopher Germer). I have also completed extensive training in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy from the Centre for Mindfulness Studies in Toronto and Dialectical Behavior Therapy from the DBT Institute of Michigan.

I have completed EcoTherapy training with the EcoPscyhology Initiative and been an outdoor enthusiast for most of my life. I've also facilitated multiple yoga classes, meditation workshops, walking groups, and wellness retreats in beautiful outdoor settings.

I have extensive experience working with a variety of professionals to address and prevent work-related stress.

I have taught mindfulness-based programs to healthcare and other professionals to address and prevent burnout.

In addition to exploring struggles and difficulties in life, I also enjoy discovering inner strengths and resources that can help facilitate personal growth!

Many of my counseling clients are high-achieving people who are navigating burnout related to their careers and have also taught mindfulness-based programs to healthcare professionals to address burnout.

In my work with clients who are experiencing anxiety, we explore a combination of ecotherapy, mindfulness skills, somatic experiencing, and self-compassion to support the health of their nervous system.
