About My Clients
I work with adults who may feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. Many of my clients are balancing responsibilities, relationships, work stress, or major life changes while trying to care for everyone else around them. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space to explore emotions, build healthier coping skills, improve self-awareness, and work toward meaningful, lasting change.
My Background and Approach
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, substance use challenges, and difficult life transitions. My background in both mental health counseling and nursing has strengthened my ability to support clients from a compassionate, whole-person perspective while understanding the connection between emotional and physical well-being. I use evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s individual needs, helping them better understand their emotions, improve coping skills, strengthen relationships, and create healthier patterns in daily life. My style is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I believe therapy should feel like a safe space where clients can be honest, feel supported, and work toward meaningful change at their own pace.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I’m a Haitian-American therapist who values compassion, authenticity, and treating people with dignity and respect. I speak both English and Haitian Creole, which allows me to connect more comfortably with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. As a Christian, my faith is personally important to me, but I also believe therapy should be a welcoming and supportive space for people of all beliefs, identities, lifestyles, and experiences. I value openness, empathy, and creating an environment where clients feel safe being themselves without fear of judgment. I’m especially passionate about supporting individuals who may feel misunderstood, emotionally overwhelmed, or pressured to “hold it all together” for others. Outside of work, I’m an animal lover and have two dogs who bring a lot of joy and balance to my life. I believe in the importance of self-care, meaningful relationships, personal growth, and learning how to care for our mental health in realistic and sustainable ways.
