About My Clients

I always tell my clients, "finding the right therapist is like dating, you have to check out a few before you find the right one for you." My number one priority is to support all that reach out, meeting them at the place they are able with compassion and thoughtfulness, and begin a journey towards whatever vision they hold for themselves. Whether at the beginning of their journey or more seasoned, to learn more skills or to find a place of pause and reflection, all are welcome and celebrated!

My Background and Approach

I am a Gestalt therapist with nearly a decade of experience working with children, adults, couples, and poly/CNM relationships. Through my approach, I invite my clients to address their needs in the moment within the therapeutic relationship, and begin growing their awareness and gain skills. Gestalt therapy incorporates the somatic experience, addressing the body and how it stores information. I approach therapy with the recognition that each individual is different and experiences the world differently. Hence, while rooted in this modality, I cater the experience to what works best for my clients, which may include trauma informed work, skill building within and outside sessions, and incorporation of external resource , and more. My practice is open to all who seeks support. At the same time, I do specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ clients, religious trauma, anxiety/depression, relationship work, Gender Affirming Care, grief/loss, and life transitions.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a firm believer that we all deserve a place to feel loved, supported, acknowledged, fought for, and above all celebrated. We have an incredible and powerful ability to learn, heal, grow, and thrive when given a chance or when we give ourselves the permission to acknowledge our own fears, patterns, shame, and then take a leap to move through them to a place of healing. My approach recognizes the internal challenges as well as the world's impact on you, meeting you where you are at with compassion, acceptance, care, mindfulness, and a bit of humor. We are products of our environment, our families, and our ancestral history, and within the therapeutic space, we can support the past, recognize its affect in the present, and with awareness support changes for the future.
