About My Clients
Are you on a quest for healing? Perhaps you have overwhelmed, enraged, ashamed, or collapsed feelings at times. You might be attempting to avoid these feelings, making it difficult to fully experience life.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in helping you develop curiosity about the different parts of yourself. My approach is empowering, teaching you about neurobiology so you can understand your behavior and emotions. Clients share that they feel understood and have tools that they can use to help regulate after sessions with me.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I completed my BSW at Grand Valley State University and MSW at the University of St. Thomas. In addition to the psychoanalytic training received through a fellowship at the MPSI Psychotherapy Center, I also completed CCTP and CCTP-II training to enhance my skills in working with clients who have a history of trauma. I also completed Level 3 certification in Trauma Informed Stabilization Treatment with Janina Fisher. I spent my teenage years in Togo, West Africa, working in a small mission hospital with my family. Later, in the US, I gained experience working with people following disasters and currently run a program that helps people with disabilities get involved in the amateur radio hobby. In my spare time, I enjoy playing the piano, gardening, and playing with my cats. I like to empower clients to understand how their brains work as they find their unique path to healing and balance.
