About My Clients
My clients are folks struggling with severe anxiety, depression, chronic fatigue, over-performance, perfectionism, burn-out, professional and relationship stress, intergenerational and attachment trauma, and more. People who do so much for others, at times at the expense of themselves, who are long over-due self-care.
My Background and Approach
My approach is active, collaborative, supportive and culturally attuned. I integrate relational cultural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness and somatic practices. This means we focus on your multiple relational experiences, in the context of identity, culture, and the values most important to you. Our goals is to help you achieve goals which are deeply aligned with your values, while engaging in daily practices which help increase connection and fulfillment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we feel the most distressed where we are disconnected from ourselves, from those who matter most to us, and when we are not aligned with the daily life we envision. It is with increased connection, centering that which brings a sense of wholeness and fulfillment that we find freedom and expansion. Reaching this state is not always simply, at times, it means we must expand our window of tolerance for distress, as we might face challenges on the path towards our most valued goals. Yet this process is profoundly worthwhile, as it is in this space that we grow.
