About My Clients
I know that life can feel overwhelming, especially during times of transition. You may be struggling with anxiety, grief, trauma, self harm, or navigating your identity. Perhaps you're a young adult facing uncertainty, a woman balancing responsibilities, or a parent supporting an LGBTQ child. You want to feel understood, build resilience, and regain a sense of control. I provide a warm, supportive space where you can explore challenges, develop coping skills, and create meaningful change.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in helping clients manage overwhelming emotions, rebuild after loss, and navigate trauma. My approach is collaborative, validating, and tailored to your needs. As a former high school teacher, I understand the challenges that today's families are facing. I also have experience in blended families, and I understand complex family dynamics. My daughter (assigned male at birth) came out at age 14 and I have stood by her side as she has navigated the challenges of that reality while living in Texas and getting gender affirming care. She's so strong and she impresses me every day. Taking the first step toward therapy can be daunting, but you don’t have to do it alone. In our work together, you’ll gain tools to manage emotions, navigate challenges, and build a life that feels authentic and fulfilling. If you’re ready to start, I invite you to reach out—I’d be honored to support you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we each have the power to shape our lives, even when it doesn’t feel that way. With the right tools, guidance, and support, we can create a life that feels more fulfilling, connected, and joyful. If you're feeling stuck or unhappy right now, it doesn’t mean you’re broken—it may simply mean that no one has yet shown you the skills or perspective that could help things feel better. I see therapy as a place to learn those tools, rewrite old stories, and grow into the version of yourself that feels most aligned. My goal is to be a supportive, nonjudgmental presence on that journey—someone who offers practical tools, insight, and encouragement as you build a life that feels more like your own.
