About My Clients
My main approach to therapy is identifying your strengths and what you value in life so that we can support the areas where we have the opportunity to grow. I do not emphasize homework outside of sessions, focusing more on what we bring in week to week and how to recognize the overall patterns that are making it hard to succeed. I specialize in OCD and anxiety disorders, but I love working with anyone who is ready to start making changes and explore what they want their life to look like.
My Background and Approach
I have worked in an inpatient setting as well as in a therapy office, so I am comfortable working with many levels of needs. There are no issues that are too scary or too big for us to talk through. My goal is for every person that I work with to better understand the values they fight for, how they want to show up in their day-to-day life, and make empowered choices. I am also currently working on my doctorate in clinical psychology. This shows up in therapy because I hope to make this feel like a real process that has helpful goals and reasons behind the choices we make together. We'll start with whatever you have right now. There is no need to come to therapy with anything figured out yet.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that all people have the ability to make positive changes. We can't control everything going on around us, but we can choose how we show up in our world. I love working with people who have anxiety or obsessive-compulsive disorders because I love finding ways to work through the hardest struggles in a way that feels realistic and helpful.
