About My Clients
I work with both teens and adults who are navigating a wide range of challenges, including substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, and adjustment-related concerns. My clients are often seeking a supportive, nonjudgmental space to explore their inner world, gain clarity, and create meaningful change in their lives. I enjoy forming strong therapeutic alliances that empower clients to take ownership of their healing journey.
My Background and Approach
I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and am a licensed alcohol and drug counselor. My approach is grounded in person-centered principles—I believe in meeting clients where they are and honoring their unique strengths, values, and experiences. I am certified in Motivational Interviewing and draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities to create a flexible, personalized approach for each individual. Whether you're seeking guidance through a difficult transition or exploring long-standing patterns, I aim to be a collaborative partner in your growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that therapy should be a space of empowerment, curiosity, and compassion. Healing is not a one-size-fits-all journey, and I am committed to offering knowledge, tools, and support tailored to your needs. Outside of my clinical work, I’m a lifelong learner and joy-seeker—whether I’m getting lost in a good book, enjoying family time, challenging friends to a board game, or exploring new cultures and cuisines through travel. Life is a journey, and I’m honored to walk alongside you as you discover your path to greater self-awareness and fulfillment.
