About My Clients
My clients want to change. People who are anxious and worried about life or depressed and out of sorts. People who are able to show up to each session ready for whatever comes up to come out and share it with me. I will gladly walk with my clients through darkness and confusion as well as happiness and joy. You don't have to have experience with therapy but a sense of enjoying the ride on the way to better mental health is someone I'd like to help.
My Background and Approach
During my first years in the field, I worked in community health in various settings including detoxification programs and outpatient clinics. Then I spent a couple of years at private rehabs before I got a spot working for a Medicaid management service. And finally....I opened my private practice! Every therapist is trained to help everyone. That being said, I specialize in treating trauma and substance use disorders. It takes one to know one kind of thing. I also specialize in treating anxiety and depression.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
What an interesting category, right? I believe family can be a blessing and a curse. I don't believe in social media or reality tv. I do believe in eating well and often. I believe we are spiritual beings having a human experience. I'm interested in the natural world, social agreements, and interior design.
