About My Clients
Do you feel as if you're always on the outside looking in? Are you looking for a new direction, but don't know how to take the first step? I would like to walk alongside you to help you find that path you're looking for. Many people have been raised in families, and find they no longer agree with their family's values or faith-based stances. I look forward to showing you how to identify your own values, and address the pain from these differences, in order to live the life you are meant to have.
My Background and Approach
My clinical training began with giving support to LGBTQIA+ adults with substance use and co-occurring mood disorders, such as anxiety and depression. Through individual and group therapy sessions, I provided trauma informed care to clients seeking long-term addiction recovery. Through individual sessions, you will learn how to balance needs and desires in your life according to your values. I have also served as the lead clinician in a partial hospitalization program for adolescents and teens in crisis, and most recently worked in a group practice with teens and adults providing non-judgmental care for clients with anxiety and depression. Sessions are geared toward your specific needs. I can provide a sounding board, skills to put into practice in your everyday life, or a combination of both.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Are you a cat-person or a dog-person? Or can you be both? I am the proud caretaker of 3 cats and one very large dog, who were all rescues, and I like to believe that there are times when we all need a little rescuing, whether we are dogs or cats. I have a strong belief in the inherent good of people, and that at our core we are all doing the best we can. Sometimes we just need a little help to get where we would like to be. If you'd like to know more about me (or my animals) give me a call or send an email. I look forward to hearing from you.
