About My Clients
I work with adults of all ages and backgrounds who experience depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, and life transitions. I welcome and invite people from all walks of life to share their life journey with me. Using a strength-based approach, I enjoy helping each patient reach their goals and learn new behaviors.
My Background and Approach
One of my core beliefs is that everyone is worthy of respect, love, and dignity. With that belief in mind, our sessions will focus on what is most effective for you and finding ways to grow and overcome obstacles. My methods include mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioral therapy. I provide a safe and comfortable place to explore and discover ways to move you forward into a life filled with satisfaction and joy. People describe me as warm, caring, and engaged. I connect easily with others, and clients warm up to me quickly. I have a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan. And as a dedicated LMSW, I am passionate about helping other people. My background includes over 25 years as a clinical medical social worker and behavioral health clinician with both inpatient and outpatient experience.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
It is my belief that all of us can heal in an environment of safety and trust. We are all interconnected and have a choice on the impact we make with our presence. I believe striving to create kindness, support, and love have a ripple effect that can truly change the world for the better.
