About My Clients
I work with adult clients who are having a hard time managing life with their current thoughts, feelings and mood. I often help them with issues such as anxiety, depression, grief/loss, focus/concentration, relationships, life/work/school transitions, and self-confidence. I often work with deep feelers, highly sensitive people, and those who want to grow, learn more about themselves, and become healthier and happier in the process.
My Background and Approach
I am a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor and am board certified as a National Certified Counselor. For the past 10 years, I have worked with adolescent and adult clients from just about every walk of life within correctional facilities, recovery/rehabilitation programs, in-community counseling programs, and in private practice. I offer a therapeutic space where you can be authentic and your experiences can be fully understood. I will work collaboratively with you to help guide you on your journey to greater well-being. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques and customize my treatment strategies to fit your personal therapy goals. I will help you recognize and use your strengths to help you move forward and to find what works best for you to manage difficult feelings and circumstances.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a Cuban-American therapist with a passion for nature and finding ways to overcome challenges in life. I believe in human rights, animal rights, and the preservation/restoration of nature. I love bringing nature into my therapy sessions, either metaphorically, artistically, or in real life. Nature isn't judgmental, and I encourage my clients to be more in tune with their authentic selves so that they can become healthier over time.
