About My Clients

Together we can navigate grief and offer support and strategies to process and integrate your experience. Not to move on, but to move with. Loss is interwoven with many of life’s challenging experiences, not only in death, but break-ups, job transitions, growth in our gender and identity, estrangement, and more. They’re all open for discussion in our time together. I love working with queers, punks, leftists, and weirdos of all stripes who are craving non-judgment, understanding, and clarity.

My Background and Approach

I strive to operate with an anti-racist and anti-capitalist lens and center social justice in my therapeutic work as well as in my life. I utilize relational-cultural, humanistic, feminist, narrative, and constructivist approaches in my work. I am a trained Level 1 – EMDR by EMDRIA-HAP practitioner and have completed the Beginning I Somatic Experiencing training. I also hold the Basic Grief Therapy Certification from the Portland Institute for Loss and Transition. I'm enthusiastic about learning so that you, the client, have the absolute best tools for making your chosen changes and improvements. I am a clinical social worker who specializes in grief, anxiety, transitions, and end of life issues. I received my masters in social work from the University of Pennsylvania in 2018 and LCSW in 2021. In addition to my therapy practice, I am a co-founder and death doula with the Philly Death Doula Collective and collaborator with the Salt Trails Collective.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe we all need support from time to time and that it takes a person of strength to seek it out. I'm not fond of feeling vulnerable myself (who is?) and that's one of the reasons I do this work - I know it's incredibly challenging, but I also know it's the key to deeper relationships and, often, a meaningful life. Ambiguity is difficult to tolerate, but it's easier with company! I see myself as a toolbox and support system; ultimately, I want to teach and transfer tools to you, and set you up for leaving our time together better equipped for whatever's next. More than anything, I believe you're both capable and deserving.
