About My Clients
Have you been battling your weight (and your relationship with food) your entire life? Or maybe, no matter what you've tried, you can't shake the overwhelm or anxious feelings that keep you up at night? Feeling good about yourself is NOT impossible! Wellness isn't solely about the mind OR body - it's both. It's time to move forward toward your goals and I've made it my mission to help you focus on YOU. (And to help you enjoy the journey & have some laughs along the way!)
My Background and Approach
My blend of therapy & coaching approaches mental health in a modern, holistic way. We can visit the past but we don't have to stay there. A lot of my clients have things they need to "unravel," but they don't want to get caught in the "weeds" of the past. Anxiety & Bariatric Counseling have been my specialties for many years - I have an array of tools that I teach my clients to help them make progress. I also have a board certification in Bariatric Counseling, so I provide presurgical mental health evaluations for bariatric surgery and work with clients through the entire surgery process. I've been helping women (and men!) gain self awareness, develop effective habits & work toward their goals for over 12 years. Therapy can give you what you need to make the positive & lasting transformation you've been wanting!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe wellness is about the mind and body. Not only do I focus on mental health, but I'm also concerned about how you sleep, what you eat, how you spend your time, your work, and relationships because every aspect of our lives plays a role in our ability to live well! I know what it's like to hold onto problematic thoughts or anxious feelings that cause you to feel stuck in life. I like to address current issues while unraveling the experiences that led to them, and help my clients set realistic goals to move forward. I strongly believe that change won't come from a place of self-hate. We can LOVE & ACCEPT where we are AND want to IMPROVE ourselves at the same time. Self Love and Self Improvement aren't mutually exclusive, and it's a refreshing feeling to be able to experience both.
