About My Clients
I work best with clients with a history of trauma, as well as those with OCD, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Depression, and those needing assistance learning daily life skills.
My Background and Approach
I practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, Building on Strengths, and Narrative Therapy. I encourage you to feel safe in sharing your story and to work toward thinking about your issues in a different way to enable you to find workable plans and solutions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have a history of OCD, anxiety, and panic myself, and I believe this assists me in understanding how you are feeling. I have learned some coping skills that help me manage my symptoms, and have had the pleasure of seeing past and current clients benefit as well. Finding enjoyable activities that keep our minds busy is helpful for mental stimulation, increased socialization, and emotional regulation. I also rely on my spirituality and relationship with God to manage fear and anxiety. Your faith can be as much a part of your therapy with me as you would like it to be.
