About My Clients

You're a high-functioning professional woman who holds it all together—at work, in your relationships, and in every room you walk into. But lately, it's starting to fray. You're drinking more than usual and wondering what that means. Always on edge, exhausted, second-guessing yourself. Maybe you're used to just pushing through. Or maybe you're tired of stuffing things down and pretending it's "fine." Whether you're sober curious or can't quite name it yet, I'm here to help you make sense of it.

My Background and Approach

Licensed Clinical Psychologist (IL, WI, & PSYPACT) with over a decade in the VA system. Specializing in sober curiosity, gray area drinking, trauma, & burnout. Now in private practice, I work with sober curious and burned-out professional women: perfectionistic, eldest-daughter types navigating trauma, alcohol or substance use, or post-military transitions, including female Veterans. This isn't a place to talk in circles or slap a label on you. The relationship is the foundation, and we'll use it. Drop the shame, name what's not working, and figure out how you want to live—on your terms. You don't have to have it all figured out before reaching out. Whether you're sober curious, stuck in old patterns, or just exhausted—I've got you. Relational, humor-infused, and evidence-based. Drawing from CPT, Motivational Interviewing, attachment-based approaches, & DBT depending on what we decide is best for you. We go at your nervous system's pace, not anyone else's timeline.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I get it because I've lived some version of it: the pressure to hold it all together, the exhaustion of performing "fine," the moment you start wondering if the way you've been coping is actually working. I'm not here as someone who has it all figured out. I'm here as a human who believes deeply in this work and what it can do. I also believe therapy doesn't happen in a vacuum. The systems we live in, work in, & move through, & the identities we hold or are perceived to hold, show up in the room. That's not politics. That's reality. I aim to hold all of it with curiosity, not judgment. I am committed to LGBTQ-allied, Veteran-affirming, social-justice informed, & ongoing antiracist practices. I take the humanity of every client seriously - all of you. And yes, there is Hope the dog (she came that way from the shelter - how could we possibly change it??). She will not be joining our sessions. But she does occasionally sigh very loudly from the other room, which, same girl.
