About My Clients
It’s not uncommon for a person to struggle at some point in life with their emotions or their sexual functioning. I understand that your unique issues deserve a personalized treatment approach. My impartial and supportive setting can help you, and your loved one(s) understand, work through and resolve the issues that you are struggling with at home. My approach is compassionate yet challenging, positive yet direct, constructive yet humorous in a safe and hopeful environment!
My Background and Approach
I have extensive experience working with anxiety, sexual dysfunctions, infidelities, problematic sexual behaviors, and sexual trauma. I enjoy working with individuals, couples and poly family systems from the alternative sexual minorities, sex worker, and LGBT communities. My clients will benefit from my integrative approach; utilizing Action Methods, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Strategic, Gottman, P-LI-SS-IT model, and Systemic Sex Therapy in my successful talk therapies.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Prior to becoming at therapist, I had a passion for studying sex, what makes it hot and why sex doesn’t always work. My quest to learn about sexuality opened my eyes to differences between intimacy and sex. Additionally I also learned about diverse sexual orientations (LGBTIQ), Intersex, and alternative sexual practice groups and families. Throughout my journey I have provided education, consultation and coaching to individuals, couples, and diverse groups of people on a variety of sexual issues. This is when I knew I wanted to become a therapist specializing in sex therapy. I am a nationally certified sex therapist with AASECT, a specialist with problematic sexual behavior, and a designated supervisor for AAMFT and AASECT students. My office is open to all who are interested in improving their emotional and mental health. I look forward to working with you.
