My approach to counseling reflects a belief in your inherent dignity and worth. It is collaborative, holistic, strength-based, personalized to your needs, and rooted in the belief that you possess a tremendous capacity for growth, healing, and re-creation over the course of your life.
Counseling is about change, and change happens when you feel safe, heard, respected, supported, and appropriately challenged. My commitment to you is to listen attentively, respect you, be genuine, and to actively engage with you to create more of what you want in life. My hope is that you will fully and consistently engage in the counseling process to the best of your abilities.
I hold a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and have additional education and training in recovery from authoritative religions (LDS/Mormon, Evangelical), trauma, EMDR, life changes, and anxiety. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor.
