About My Clients
I predominately treat youth and young adults within the LGBTQ+ community as they navigate intersectionality, life transitions, and identity development. I am a passionate advocate and ally who celebrates diversity whether ethnicity, race, faith, sexuality, relational, gender, etc. I have an integrative and person-centered counseling approach combining mindfulness, skill building, self-acceptance, interpersonal relationship building, and health boundary development.
My Background and Approach
I have over 6 years of experience providing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), including a graduate internship, professional practice in a clinical mental health setting, and private practice. I have completed her DBT training through Behavioral Tech: A Linehan Institute Training Company. I take a direct behavior approach to therapy providing my client with tools/skills to reach their goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I actively volunteer within the LGBTQ+ community in Moore County, NC, and Raleigh, NC.
