About My Clients
I've found that my favorite niche is to assist individuals in early recovery ( or those who have been sober for a while but are wanting more) to begin to build a strong recovery foundation. I really enjoy working with individuals as well as their family members to overcome barriers or challenges and to heal the wounds that addiction leaves in its wake. Join me as we work towards an action plan that puts you in the road to holistic recovery!
My Background and Approach
My career has been a whirlwind to say the least and this profession has afforded me some wonderful experiences along the way! With over 25 years experience working in the field of addiction I've never lost my passion for assisting others on their early recovery path. I am certified as a SAP and so can assist DOT employees in obtaining their assessments that help them to return to work. I also can provide confidential, non judgmental substance use assessments as well as all referrals and recommendation paperwork. Since all of my services are provided telehealth, you don't even have to leave the privacy of your home! By this point you've probably been beat up enough- by the drugs and alcohol, by your own self talk, by society and maybe even by well meaning friends and family. Right now you just need a safe non judgmental person who can guide and support you on this early journey towards rebuilding your life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
You've probably already guessed, Im a pretty passionate person about recovery and the field of addiction in general but I have to share, I too have personally been devastated by the affects of addiction. This is where my strong belief in need for ongoing support and direction comes from, not only for the individuals with the disease of addiction but also the family members who love them. Thats why I have carved out a niche of helping families/individuals recover! My professional approach is through individual sessions, group sessions, and family interventions to assist the family to begin the recovery process. #WeDoRecover And if you are just concerned with the possibility that you may be experiencing a problem or possibly being asked to seek an evaluation, Im here for you too! Lastly, I LOVE to assist with clinical supervision ! Seeing new counselors professionally growing makes me confident of where the field is going for the future of those in need.
