About My Clients
I work with adolescents and adults navigating grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and trauma, particularly religious and spiritual trauma. I enjoy working with queer individuals navigating identity development, interpersonal distress
My Background and Approach
I value having an eclectic toolkit of counseling modalities to tailor counseling for my clients. I draw from Person-Centered Therapy (PCT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and approach sessions with curiosity, warmth, and collaboration. I've worked in hospital and case management settings, in addition to private practice, which has given me perspective into the systemic issues affecting clients.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I identify as queer, and have always participated in local LGBTQIA+ groups to find community and support others. I grew up in Georgia, and was raised Christian, though have since deconstructed and written my master's paper on religious trauma. I still value spirituality, but understand the difficulty of finding belonging in religious spaces as a queer individual.
