My Background and Approach
I graduated with a Masters of Science from Umass Boston and am a licensed marriage and family therapist. I started my career in community based settings working with children and families in crisis. This often included collaboration with larger systems including hospitals, schools, and legal organizations. For the past few years I have found my passion working with those who are grieving a loved one, and have developed a speciality in infertility counseling as well as pregnancy and infant loss. I am trained in a variety of models, and operate from a Narrative world view. Narrative therapy works to separate a person from their problem and recognizes that people have skills and expertise that can help guide change in their lives. I make every effort to use my skills, knowledge and humor to develop connection and promote self compassion.
