About My Clients

My ideal clients are adults seeking healing, clarity, and greater self-understanding. While I work with a variety of life challenges, I'm especially passionate about supporting those navigating faith transitions, religious or spiritual trauma, chronic illness, medical trauma, and physical disabilities. Whether you're processing anxiety, grief, trauma healing, or relationship challenges, I offer a compassionate, affirming space to help you move forward.

My Background and Approach

Before becoming a therapist, I spent years working in ministry and macro social work focused on mental health and poverty alleviation. I hold degrees in Religion and Music from Baylor University, a Master of Divinity from George W. Truett Theological Seminary, and a Master of Social Work from the Garland School of Social Work. My background gives me a deep appreciation for the ways faith, identity, and mental health intersect. As someone living with a physical disability and chronic health challenges, I also understand the emotional impact of adapting to a body or life that hasn't unfolded as expected. My approach is warm, collaborative, and person-centered. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, mindfulness, and psychodynamic therapy while tailoring treatment to each client's unique needs, values, and goals. I believe healing happens through authenticity, self-compassion, and a strong therapeutic relationship.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

One of the beautiful things about life is we often live in the grey space when the world wants us to fit into boxes. I believe that when we make room for uncertainty, curiosity, and compassion, we create opportunities for healing, growth, and deeper connection with ourselves and others. My goal is not to tell you what to believe, but to help you explore your experiences, values, and identity in a way that feels authentic to you. I am LGBTQ+ affirming. My goal is to create a therapy space where every client feels respected, welcomed, and safe to show up fully as themselves.
