Therapy is a process of growth and self-discovery, and in my sessions I promote behavioral transformation by encouraging a positive outlook and the adoption of new attitudes and reactions. My Background and Approach
I am trained in EMDR and Brainspotting. I use an eclectic approach and frequently utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in sessions. Lizzette holds multiple evidence-based practice certifications such as: Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Managing and Adapting Practices (MAP), Seeking Safety (SST), and Aggression Replacement Therapy (ART). Lizzette has extensive experience working with children and adolescents with co-occurring disorders as well as experience working with their parents by offering them a clear understanding of the mental illness at hand. Lizzette is able to see how environmental stressors can negatively affect one’s perception of life.

In working with couples, I assist then in identifying relational patterns and communications skills that strongly correlate with high relationship satisfaction and resilience.
