About My Clients

I primarily work with adults who are struggling with burnout, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, and complex trauma. I've had clients who find it easier to take care of others than themselves, or they feel like they have lost a sense of who they are. Many of my clients have experienced one trauma after another, and feel so broken and stuck that they don't even know where to start. My intuitive approach has helped many clients take the first step towards healing.

My Background and Approach

Becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist is my second career act in life. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in Bay Area tech finance for 20 years, and struggled with my own burnout and mental health issues. I was drawn to do this work because I experienced, first hand, how transformative and healing it can be. My practice is built on the belief that meaningful change is possible — and that the therapeutic relationship itself is one of the most powerful tools for healing. I have my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University. My approach is integrative and intuitive because I find that therapy is not one size fits all. I can help you learn to listen to and trust your own voice. We will work together to uncover the unconscious patterns that may work against you. Together we will find what works for you so you can quiet all of the noise and find inner peace and strength. You are not broken, and once you truly understand that, you can begin to heal.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that we all have the capacity for growth and change once we understand how we got to where we are currently. We all pick up these negative beliefs and narratives about ourselves, whether we are aware of them or not, throughout our childhood, from our family, and from the experiences we have throughout our adolescence and adulthood. As humans, we don't exist in a vacuum. We are part of many different systems that impact how we are able to live our lives. Western culture would have us believe that we are products of our own making... where our failures are solely ours because we didn't hustle enough or work hard enough or manifest enough. It's important for us to understand how we got to where we are, because only then, can we truly learn to accept and love ourselves. As Carl Rogers, one of the original therapists once said, "The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change."
